Funky Pumpkins is a group of Hudson Valley based scenic artists and prop makers. Based in the Hudson Valley, New York, we work with spaces of all sizes -- indoors and out --- including farms and orchards, stores and markets, restaurants and bars, homes and apartment buildings, and hotels and theme parks, and others.

All work is realized by the experienced hand of a lifelong artist, Altin Rizi  who was born in Tirana, Albania and his work has been recognized worldwide, from Athens to Milan to Paris. Since landing in New York City, his work has been commissioned by both individuals and commercial entities all over the U.S.

He specializes in large-scale sculptures, usually made from foam, wood and other materials, as well as painting (abstract, figurative and expressionist), fine wood work and more. Bottom line: He can create literally anything for anyone in any kind of space from any kind of material. He doesn’t consider himself one style of artist. Instead, he considers himself a storyteller, acting as a vessel for ideas to manifest themselves into forms, shapes and textures.

Altin graduated high school and the Academy of Fine Arts in Albania with diplomas in Painting and Graphic Design, and completed his Masters in Plastic Arts at Paris 8 in France. He is a proud member of the Peekskill Arts Alliance and Hudson Valley MOCA.

Funky Pumpkins is by Artistry for Spaces, a Mohegan Lake-based small business that specializes in custom art pieces for interior and exterior spaces of all sizes -- private homes and apartments, restaurants and offices, hotels, churches and even theme parks.
